Allergen Advice

The ingredients in our standard recipes are listed below.   As your cake is made in a home kitchen which handles allergens* we cannot guarantee that your cake is free from allergens.  If you have any allergies or specific requirements please discuss this with us at the time of booking your cake. 

  • Vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream and jam - Caster sugar, baking margarine, eggs, wheat flour, milk, butter, icing sugar, vanilla extract, strawberry jam.  ALLERGENS; milk, eggs, gluten

  • Lemon sponge with lemon buttercream - Caster sugar, baking margarine, eggs, wheat flour, milk, fresh lemon, butter, icing sugar, lemon extract. ALLERGENS; milk, eggs, gluten

  • Chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream - Caster sugar, baking margarine, eggs, wheat flour, baking powder, milk, cocoa powder, coffee, chocolate, butter, icing sugar, vanilla extract. ALLERGENS; milk, eggs, gluten

  • Chocolate Orange - Caster sugar, baking margarine, eggs, wheat flour, baking powder, milk, cocoa powder, coffee, fresh orange, chocolate, butter, icing sugar, orange extract. ALLERGENS; milk, eggs, gluten

  • White chocolate and raspberry - Caster sugar, baking margarine, eggs, wheat flour, milk, fresh raspberries, white chocolate, butter, icing sugar, vanilla extract. ALLERGENS; milk, eggs, gluten

  • Banana Chocolate Chip - Caster sugar, baking margarine, eggs, wheat flour, bicarbonate of soda, salt, milk, fresh banana, chocolate, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, vanilla extract. ALLERGENS; milk, eggs, gluten

  • Apple & Cinnamon - Brown sugar, baking margarine, eggs, wheat flour, baking powder, milk, fresh apple, fresh lemon, butter, cinnamon, vanilla extract. ALLERGENS; milk, eggs, gluten

  • Carrot Cake - Brown sugar, sunflower oil, eggs, wheat flour, baking powder, fresh carrot, mixed spice, ground ginger, walnuts, butter, icing sugar, vanilla extract. ALLERGENS; milk, eggs, gluten, nuts

  • Fruit Cake - Currents, sultanas, raisins, glace cherries, apricots, candied peel, brandy, wheat flour, nutmeg, mixed spice, butter, brown sugar, eggs, almonds, treacle, fresh lemon, fresh orange, marzipan. ALLERGENS; milk, eggs, gluten, nuts

Allergen advice for non-standard flavours can be provided at your request.

Icing and decoration;

  • Fondant icing used to cover cakes contains no known allergens and is suitable for vegetarians & vegans.

  • Sugar and modelling pastes used to create decorations are suitable for vegetarians and vegans. They may contain nuts.

  • Food colourings used to colour cakes, buttercreams and icings may contain milk, soya, nuts and sulphates.

  • Toppings used to decorate cakes include fresh fruit, chocolates and biscuits. Allergens contained will vary.
